Manicures for Change: June 18th 2011.
A unique fundraiser to generate the start-up funds needed to swing our organization into full gear. This will be taking place in Market Mall on June 18th 2011 from 10:30 am – 5:30pm. We will be setting up outside of Zellers and giving manicures for a charge of 15 dollars each. Volunteers needed! Thanks to Marvel College, Mica Design, Sassy Nails, and the Calgary Bridge Foundation for their support, time, and in kind donations.
Young Women 4 Change kick off meeting: September 24th UWO
This will be the first official meeting to kick off the start to an awesome year. We will have two guest speakers, lunch will be provided. We will break into our groups and discuss our goals and plans for the year. Feel free to bring your friends.
4 Change Workshop
- This is a mandatory workshop. We will have an influential leader in our community come in and teach us how to be better leaders.
- Points of Focus:
- How to set goals and fulfill goals for the team
- Organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Communication skills
Thought for workshop: There is no mountain that cannot be climbed.

End of the Year Conference: Open to all members and non members.
The goal is to raise enough for speaker and founder of the Freedom Writers foundation, Erin Gruwell to come enlighten us and teach us of her experience as a woman for change. She is an extremely inspirational individual and is someone we can all learn from. Lunch will be provided. Tickets will be sold.
